Welcome
It is a pleasure to announce the Frontiers in Classical and Quantum Initial Value Problems (CQIVP2026) workshop, which will be held at
Korea University - November 19-21 2026 - Seoul, South Korea
- Venue: Yu Im-Soon Hall, College of Science, Korea University
- Address: 145 Anam-ro, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul 02841, Republic of Korea
This workshop is part of the grant "From turbulent flows to quantum fields and gravity: energy-momentum transport via symmetry-preserving dynamical coordinate maps" supported by the National Research Foundation of South Korea and the BK21 program of the physics department of Korea University.
Its aim is to bring together international leading experts from theoretical physics and applied mathematics with a common interest in the numerical treatment of classical and quantum field theories. The scope of the workshop is intentionally broad, covering a wide variety of initial boundary value problems. It ranges from deterministic wave propagation, fluid dynamics and general relativity on the classical side, to the simulation of fluctuating quantum field theories and hydrodynamics on the quantum side. With common challenges in the numerical formulation and modelling of both classical and quantum systems we foresee the workshop to offer a venue to foster exchange among adjacent research field and the opportunity to identify common ground for collaboration.
The workshop will consist of invited perspective presentations interlaced with contributed talks. The deadline for registration and abstract submission is as follows:
- Contributed abstracts submission: until October 25th
- Registration: until November 8th
